Your “foodprint” is the result of everything it takes to get your food from the farm to your plate. Many of those processes are invisible to consumers.
The impact of a person or community on the environment can be expressed as the amount of land required to sustain their use of natural resources to indicate how bad it is for the environment. This is called an Ecological footprint or environmental footprint. An environmental footprint takes into account the entirety of the supply and demand of goods and services for the planet. In doing so, it is assumed that the entire population follows a certain lifestyle characterized by a known person or a group of people
