Photosynthesis is an important process that makes life on earth as it is possible. Photosynthesis is a process by which plants use sunlight, water and carbon dioxide to create oxygen and energy in the form of glucose. Photosynthesis happens in the chloroplast and is carried out by plants, algae and even some bacteria. The energy that is made during photosynthesis is stored in the plant or bacteria in the form of glucose. That energy can be obtained by herbivores eating the plants and carnivores eating herbivores. The energy will be passed on in the food chain. Organisms that are able to do photosynthesis are able to make energy on their own and because oxygen is a byproduct of photosynthesis, animals that need oxygen to survive can live on earth.
